Hadith Programmes

As part of our annual Dawrah al-Hadith Programme, we are offering an exclusive opportunity to join a series of advanced hadith modules. Our courses are designed to educate, inspire and challenge participants to approach key topics through the rich legacy of hadith scholarship available to us. 

Participants are able to join online or onsite for these programmes, and may pay to attend individual lessons if they wish to do so.

Prerequisites
Participants are expected to have studied basic to intermediate texts in the relevant sciences. They must have some proficiency in the Arabic language, in order to engage with core texts. 

This course is suitable for scholars, teachers, researchers and students of knowledge with an interest in hadith. Please read the course description to decide if this course is for you.

Course Breakdown

The Intersection of Hadith and Fiqh

This course will explore the development and intersection of usul al fiqh and mustalah al-hadith, which are both essential in navigating and analysing hadith. Participants will also engage with classical and modern works on these subjects, with a focus on the usul of the Hanafi madhab.​

Islamic Finance and Transactions

This course will cover Islamic finance through a comprehensive study of the chapter of buyu' in Sahih al-Bukhari. Mufti Barkatulla will provide insightful commentary of the hadith, alongside contemporary discussions and practical examples.

A Study of Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim
By Shaykh Akram Nadwi

Shaykh Akram will focus on the biography of Imam Bukhari, the famous Muqaddimah written by Imam Muslim, and explore their methodology through selected commentary of hadith from both works. Participants will also engage in discussing key narrators and chains of narration throughout the course.​
